Teresa M. Beck, Chair

Teresa Beck was born in Santa Ana, California and received her B.S. from San
Diego State University and her J.D. from the University of San Diego. She is
a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the American Bar
Association, San Diego Defense Lawyers and the Lawyers Club of San Diego.
She is currently a partner at the law firm of Lincoln, Gustafson & Cercos
and is counsel for the Zoological Society of San Diego, Sea World of
California, LEGOLAND CALIFORNIA, and numerous other California businesses in
all aspects of business and litigation. Ms. Beck also serves on the board of
directors of the Balboa Park House of Hospitality, and the Traveler's Aid
Society, where she is the Board Chair. |
Barbara A. Burnett

Born in Oklahoma City and a resident of Kansas beginning at the age of 5,
Barbara graduated from the University of Kansas with a BA in Liberal Arts
and then entered New York University School of Law, graduating with a JD
degree in 1972. She practiced in New York at Davis Polk and Wardwell, taught
at NYU and retired from teaching after over 20 years as a Professor of Law
at Syracuse University College of Law. She is the chair of the KU Alumni
Assn, San Diego Chapter, a docent at the Maritime Museum, a member of the
Lawyer's Club and grandmother of three small fans of puppet theater. |
Mary Dominy, Director

Mary has an extensive background in education, counseling, service and
motherhood. Mary graduated from Hastings College in 1950 with a Bachelor of
Arts Degree in Sociology and Religious Studies, with a minor in Literature.
She attended Mesa Junior College, and San Diego State University, where she
received a multi-subject teaching credential, a learning handicapped
teaching credential and a severely handicapped teaching credential. Mary
also earned two Master’s degrees at San Diego State University, one in
Education and one in Counseling. At the Riley School, Mary taught for
fifteen years. She also taught special education classes at Kearny High
School for three years, as well as Humanities courses at Twain Alternative
Education High School for three years, before retiring from full time
teaching after twenty-two years. Currently, she is a substitute teacher at
O’Farrell Community Middle School where her oldest son is a teacher. |
Anne Salazar-Dunbar,

Anne has been involved in professional theatre as a stage-manager for many
years. Most of her work has been locally with the Old Globe Theatre where
she was trained. She is currently raising and homeschooling three children.
In addition, she runs a business out of her home. Icarus Puppet Co. has been
a part of her family’s homeschooling life since it’s inception. |

Deborah Garvin is an attorney with the law offices of McCormick & Mitchell.
Deborah received her Bachelor of Science degree in Radiation Technology from
Lawton University and earned a certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology
from the University of Oklahoma. Continuing her education, Deborah then
obtained her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of San Diego and
her Masters in International Business Law at King’s College, University of
London. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the San Diego
County Bar Association, and the Lawyers’ Club of San Diego. |
Martin Grunburg

A founding partner of Home2Office Computing Solutions Inc. (H2O), Martin
Grunburg is a computer specialist with a long history of service to the San
Diego community. Martin is a graduate of SDSU with a bachelor’s degree in
graphic design. In 1994, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start
Kreative Kids Computer Camp in Poway, CA--an after-school computer-training
center for children. That business ultimately gave way to H2O, a computer
network consulting company that provides affordable, high-quality,
outsourced technical support to businesses. Martin has worked with many
leading local businesses, including SENTRE Partners, McMillin Realty, Jenny
Craig Intl. and Sempra. With H2O, he has been proud to assist many San Diego
non-profit organizations, including the San Diego Repertory Theatre, Center
for Community Solutions, and Big Brothers & Sisters of America. Personally,
Martin has been a hands-on Big Brother volunteer since 1999, and has
actively supported the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) with fundraising
ventures. Martin and his wife, Gretchen, have been married four years and
have two daughters, Mia (2) and Eva (4 months). |

Junie is a project manager in the IT department at Solar Turbines and a
mother of two. She holds a B.S. degree in Information Systems from
University of Redlands. Junie has experience in both grant writing and
fund-raising in her role a committee member for the Bonita Country Day
School Computer Technology committee where she was instrumental in the
implementation of computers and network infrastructure at the school.

Jason Sweeney practices law in downtown San Diego. He graduated with a B.A.
in business administration from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado.
Jason earned both an M.B.A. and J.D. from the University of San Diego. Jason
is a member of the Supply Chain Management Association and a member of the
Institute of Supply Management. He has worked for California Senator Martha
Escutia of the 30th Senate district as a research aid, and has counseled
businesses on business model development. Jason has a passion for
philosophy, is a budding Roman history aficionado, and has a long-standing
affection for performing and musical arts. |

Ric Todd is the Public and Cultural Arts Coordinator for the City of Chula
Vista. Ric is the Chair of the Southern California organization of the
California Assembly of Local Arts Agencies who also serves on the boards of
the San Diego International Black Film Festival and the Arts and Culture
Coalition. He is past president of the African American Museum of Fine Arts,
and has advised the California Ballet. Ric is an accomplished artist with 28
years experience as an arts educator. He holds an AA from Mort Community
College in Flint, Michigan; and a B.A. and MA from Western Michigan
University; and is a CORO fellow. |
Rosemary Tyrrell,

Co-founder and executive director Rosemary Tyrrell performs in Icarus Puppet
Company. She teaches at the Fashion Institute of Design and Management,
participated in the CORO Arts Leadership program and the State Board of
Education's California Arts Project. In 1998 Women Together honored Rosemary
at a tribute to outstanding women from the arts and culture community. After
receiving a BA in psychology from Youngstown State University in Ohio,
Rosemary earned her MA in Theater from the University of Kansas. She has
directed at the Public Theatre and Marquis Public Gallery, and co-founded
the Saturday Play Company. Rosemary has taught acting and improvisation
techniques at UCSD Extension. |
